Dr. Nahari mainly talked about the Virtual Suspect (VS) and its nature, explaining that the Virtual Suspect has a personality, memory and an emotional and cognitive state and that the Virtual Suspect’s responses to the investigators’ questions are based on these parameters. She further explained that the criminal case under investigation as well as the identity of the Virtual Suspsect are changeable, meaning that in each training session the trainer logs in the details of a case and defines the identity of the Virtual Suspect (e.g., the Virtual Suspect’s gender, profession, criminal record). Finally, she emphasized the importance of the cooperation among the field (police), hi-tech and academia (Computer Science and Criminology) to the success of this project.
